Ashley Knebel is a sophomore at Brown University majoring in English and Neuroscience. She finished high school with a 5.0 GPA and a 1560 on her SAT. In high school she was involved with Model United Nations, Yearbook, and ASB. In college, Ashley works as an EMT for her University and and participates in neuroscience research. In her free time Ashley loves to read and bake for friends. She has experience with writing personal statements and supplemental essays for the college application process. Max Hampel will be attending Stanford University in the fall as an intended English and Cognitive Sciences major. He graduated from Peninsula High School with a 4.9 GPA and received a 1570 on the SAT. He is an AP Scholar with Distinction and did all of this while being apart of ASB, Link Crew, Yearbook, TSA, Teen Court and Varsity Volleyball. His favorite subjects are Math and English, but he can also tutor for both the SAT and ACT. Max would like to put your child at ease with the college admissions process and help him/her with personal statements and any of the various supplemental essays. Max enjoys playing volleyball with friends at the beach and reading books.
Ben is a second year student at UC Berkeley who intends to study Business Administration and US History. He is from Pasadena, CA and attended high school at Flintridge Preparatory School in La Cañada, CA. Outside of academics, Ben has played both team and individual sports throughout his life and continues to remain a highly competitive golfer. Natalie Wong will be attending Duke University in the fall as a business major. She completed high school with a 4.8 GPA and received a 1500 on her SAT. During high school, she served as Peninsula’s ASB President and was a member of the English National Honor Society. She enjoys writing short poems and solving crossword puzzles in her free time and has experience writing personal statements as well as the various supplemental essays that are required in the college admissions process. Eliza is a 17 year old high school senior at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School. She is a part of Link Crew, volunteers at Sunrise Senior Living Center, has 4 years babysitting experience and one year tutoring experience. She is adept at handling difficult and chaotic situations, and can babysit up to 4 kids at one time. Recently, she has discovered a knack for helping others write their college applications and formulate their list based on what features they desire in a university. With this, she is equipped to tutor student of all ages.
Jonah spent countless hours studying extensively in all of his courses during his high school career at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School. During his time there he scored a 1470 on the SAT and had a GPA of 4.2 during his college application process. This, along with strong college essays, lead to his acceptance at the University of Southern California where he is currently studying international business administration. Additionally, he also has prior experience tutoring and chauffeuring one of the PVPHS faculty’s children. Above all he is most proud of his success in school which he balanced with his personal life. This gave him the opportunity to do the things he enjoyed during high school and he is eager to help other students accomplish their own goals so they can achieve their own balance for themselves.
